Introducing the innovative ICA Design and Inspiration Centre
Druten – The first plans for a design and inspiration centre date back to 2019 when, during a special meeting, it was decided to re-approach the retail market and thoroughly evaluate the current range. Retail will be supported both physically and digitally with a key role for the merchandising department.
What does ICA have planned and what can both new and existing clients expect?
In early 2019, the layout of the new ICA Design and Inspiration Centre (IDIC) was designed. An inspiring concept that lends a ground-breaking twist to the traditional tile business: exciting, trendsetting mood walls showcased and steeped in creativity and ambience.
By the end of next year, more than 160 specially created mood walls are expected to be on display. Colours, sizes and textures will be combined in a setting where the mood of each individual tile complements the whole. A revolutionary idea in today’s tile industry that has been worked out to perfection.
ICA believes that trendsetting mood walls are the tool of the future, offering consumers a better understanding of tile combinations and the atmosphere they can create. In addition, a new online dealer portal is being developed and negotiations are underway with a party from abroad to add a design tool to the options currently available to consumers.
The ICA Design and Inspiration Centre will also be open to our clients. Meetings can be held at the centre and there will be a fully accessible library too. While visiting, tilers, representatives from the real estate industry and housing associations, for instance, will be able to access the hundreds of reference works on site: information about the vast range of series and products manufactured by the factories ICA works with.
