ICA on the threshold of amazing developments

Ceramic tile wholesaler ICA, founded by Amsterdam native Kees van den Hoek, has certainly not stood still in the last few years, although this may have gone unnoticed in the outside world. Director Van den Hoek admits: “It is true that in recent years, apart from visiting trade exhibitions in Italy and Spain, we have not done enough in terms of marketing, communications and branding. However, there are many exciting new things planned at ICA which we will share with all interested parties in the next few months.”

As mentioned in previous news bulletins, the ICA premises now include a fantastic Design Centre with mood walls, a library and a fully operational and professionalised merchandising department. ICA currently offers a full-service package to retailers, tile specialty stores, builders’ merchants, tilers, cash and carry outlets and contractors as well as for custom-made applications and a wide variety of projects. One of ICA’s major strengths lies in the large quantity of stock at our disposal, which enables a speedy response to the needs of both clients and dealers.

Tile icon Van den Hoek has slowly been taking a step back and the organisation has also undergone a few internal changes. The office staff and warehouse space have nearly doubled due to the continued increase in orders. In addition, management have initiated a roadmap that should eventually result in the implementation of a new or upgraded version of the current ERP system and a new plan has been drawn up with ‘creator of solutions’, Concept God, to tackle our branding.
