Director Van den Hoek ‘christens’ truck with fresh ICA logo

Last Wednesday, as part of the launch of our new corporate identity, a fresh ICA logo was unveiled. In the presence of founder and director Kees van den Hoek and the entire staff of ICA, the special truck was ‘christened’ while everyone enjoyed a glass of champagne. Van den Hoek spoke about reaching a milestone in ICA’s 30-year history and noted “This is a beautiful moment”, while taking snaps with his phone. The refresh of the trusted ICA logo is minimal: the grey has disappeared but there is no change to the overall design.

For this special occasion, after having taken photos of the new showroom, photographer Judith Keessen was on hand to take a group shot of the staff team with the truck in the background.

“The truck is part of our new branding”, explained Van den Hoek. “Along with the revamped website and online dealer portal going live shortly, it marks a step towards the further professionalisation of the company. Transport is a very important part of our core business.”

Preferred transport partner Van den Heuvel surprised ICA’s staff by contributing to the festivities with delicious baked treats.

When asked about the current climate, Van den Hoek could only smile and say: “Today is a beautifully sunny day. And, you know, despite all the perils of COVID-19, we can’t complain. This crisis has done us no harm. I have also been on the other side of the fence in my life, when the outcome was not so good. This time, however, people have started to do more DIY work and it shows in our sales figures. ICA is not standing still: the new corporate identity is only a small part of the many wonderful things we have planned for the near future.”
