Tegelhuis Barendrecht kicks off ICA’s mood wall concept
Barendrecht – After almost two years of designing, discussing, exchanging inspiring ideas, calculations and coordination the new ICA mood wall concept finally saw the light. Tegelhuis Barendrecht, one of our valued partners, had the honour of being the first tile retailer in the Netherlands to implement the ingenious concept. We are overwhelmed with both the final result and the rave reviews from the owners of Tegelhuis Barendrecht.
ICA’s retail department has all the tools to provide a new and unique experience to all tile companies in the Netherlands and Belgium. By implementing specially created mood walls, in combination with various digital features, this tile experience comes to life. An essential part of the concept is the renewed dealer portal, which became available in the second week of January 2021 via our website. As one might expect registrations have been pouring in.
On Monday, 11 January, twenty-six mood walls were installed at one of the Netherland’s finest tile retailers, Tegelhuis Barendrecht. Director Marcel Pluger and previous owner Frits Jaspers were very impressed with the end result. The design and coordination process in Barendrecht was led by senior representative Gert Jan Markus and junior representative Luca van de Water with Hassan Yahia and Arnold van Aanholt as supporting merchandisers.
According to Jaspers, everyone who has contributed to the realisation of the trend-setting mood wall project deserves a big compliment. The successful design of the mood walls with different sizes, colours and optical wall and floor tiles will attract much attention and has already resulted in a follow-up. In addition, with their range of 160 wood-look tiles in all kinds of colours, sizes and thicknesses, ICA has also been asked to fit out the store’s wood-look corner.
Tegelhuis Barendrecht has become the first official dealer to completely commit to the new ICA concept. ICA will also assist the specialist tile company with the appropriate digital support for operating the dealer portal, design tool and the digital showroom. The implementation of the mood wall concept with the next partner is already planned.
