Jelle de Vries appointed ICA Group managing director
On 1 October 2021, Jelle de Vries (52) will become ICA Group’s new managing director. Together with CEO and owner Kees van den Hoek, de Vries will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the group, striving to achieve the family firm’s ambitious growth goals.
The new managing director and ICA are no strangers to each other. In 1992, de Vries got his first job as an account manager with the company, which was based in Amsterdam at the time. Five years later, he decided to broaden his horizons and switched to a career in IT.
Over the years, de Vries has acquired a lot of business know-how at companies like Delion (later taken over by QNH) and held various sales and management positions at tech giants such as Microsoft, Teradata, Verizon and Hitachi Vantara. Along the way, he also gained experience in organisational change management, successfully anticipating the ever-changing markets.
With his combination of entrepreneurial talent, international corporate experience and a broad set of skills, Jelle de Vries will make an ideal managing director. CEO and owner Kees van den Hoek is welcoming de Vries ‘home’ with open arms and stated, “Things have come full circle.”
